Can I Get Probate Myself, or Do I Need a Solicitor?

What is Probate?

Probate is a formal document issued by the Supreme Court of New South Wales that confirms a Will is valid and authorises the executor to administer the estate. Banks and the NSW Land Registry will usually require a grant of Probate before releasing assets or allowing property to be transferred, particularly where property or larger sums are involved.
