Arthur Fogarty - Personal Injury

Arthur commenced employment in the Local Courts administration in 1975 as a clerk. He worked in various courts throughout New South Wales holding various positions including that of a coroner. In 1981 Arthur joined the General Insurance Law Division of the Government Insurance Office.
In 1983, Arthur was admitted as a solicitor and remained in the employ of the Government Insurance Office. He handled various public liability claims and householders claims on behalf of numerous insured of the Government Insurance Office. Arthur progressed to handling the major claims in that division and in particular medical negligence claims against Public Hospitals. He was also involved in compensation law and provided in house advice on liability and policy.
In June 1986, Arthur commenced as an associate with Paul A Curtis & Co. in which position he handled all litigation on behalf of injured persons in all jurisdictions in New South Wales.
In April 1988, Arthur commenced employment with Lamrocks in our litigation and dispute resolution division and acts on behalf of individuals in relation to those disputes. Arthur's particular area of interest is in medical negligence.
In October 2003 the Motor Accidents Authority established a panel of legal practitioners who are experts in paediatric brain and spinal cord injured claims. Arthur was one of only 21 solicitors in New South Wales appointed to this panel.
Arthur is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law being one of the first solicitors in New South Wales to attain such accreditation.
