Steve is the current Chairman of the Austlaw Accident Compensation Group and has served on the Law Society Common Law Rights Committee.
Steve first entered legal practice in 1973 as an articled clerk and was admitted as a solicitor in 1978. From 1973 to the present, Steve has been exclusively involved in a litigation practice specialising in accident compensation law.
Steve was initially employed by Messrs White Barnes & Mcguire, Solicitors in Sydney, where he was involved in acting on behalf of various plaintiffs/applicants in the Workers' Compensation Court, District Court and Supreme Court. Whilst at White Barnes & Mcguire Steve gained considerable experience in all areas of litigation. Subsequently, Steve was employed by Messrs. Geoffrey Edwards & Co. in Sydney where he was again involved in the preparation and presentation of cases on behalf of plaintiffs/applicants in all jurisdictions involving accident compensation claims.
Steve commenced working with Lamrocks in 1981 and became a partner in 1984. Steve has continued to work in the firm's litigation practice and heads the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Division.
In October 2003 the Motor Accidents Authority established a panel of legal practitioners who are experts in paediatric brain and spinal cord injury claims. Steve was one of only 21 solicitors in New South Wales appointed to this panel.
Steve is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law being one of the first solicitors in New South Wales to attain such accreditation.
